Project 3: Low-Powered Rocket

To gain an understanding of rockets, we developed a low-powered rocket for the purpose of learning how you construct, model, and design rockets. In the construction of rockets, we learned about the different parts such as the motor mount, body, nose cone, fins, and recovery systems. We learned how the parts fit together, and how to put them together. We modeled the actual rocket in Solidworks, and Open Rocket. We learned how to use open rocket to simulate the flight, and stability of the rockets we modeled, predicting the behavior of the rockets flight. We are continuing our progress by moving forward with a level 1 rocket.
